Since July 2000, Acuro Research, formerly Little Rock Allergy & Asthma Clinical Research Center, has specialized in conducting clinical trials in the areas of allergic rhinitis, asthma, HAE, cough, common cold, influenza, urticaria, angioedema, smoking cessation, adult and pediatric vaccines, atopic dermatitis, otitis media, acute and chronic bronchitis, and other immunology, allergy and respiratory conditions.

Our Center

  • Dr. Karl V. Sitz, our Principal Investigator and President started our research center in July 2000. Dr. Sitz retired from clinical practice in October of 2023 and continues to lead our research center. Dr. Sitz has over 35 years of research experience.

    Mindy DeMarco, RN, BSN, CCRP, our Vice President and Clinical Research Manager has been with the research center since July 2000 and has 30 years of clinical trial experience coordinating over 250 clinical trials .

    Our GCP certified team of sub-investigators include Dr. Jim M. Ingram, Dr. Blake G. Scheer, Dr. Stacy S. Griffin, and Dr. Adam S. Price.

    We currently have 2 part time study coordinators on site as well as the ability to manage sponsor provided study dedicated coordinators. All coordinators are GCP certified, IATA shipping certified and if eligible, SOCRA certified.

Quick study start up

Our center utilizes the central IRB of the sponsor’s choice and contractual matters are handled on site for a quick study start up timeline. We have CRIO eRegulatory system for clean and streamlined submission and maintenance of regulatory documents.
